The first post in 2009. At the beginning of March, I have a pretty big exam called CBT among students. Any medical student in Japan is supposed to take it before moving up to clinical training. Since this exam marks the end of course work, its coverage is extensive. It asks about all the clinical specialties as well as basic medical science.
Although all students have to pass CBT, each medical school can set its own passing grade. Some school place very tight ones, some lax ones. Since I learned my school is nice, I have procrastinated about preparing for the exam.
I like modems a lot.

I'm sorry you failed your big exam.
Thank your for your sympathy. I got the bottom score in my class. People around me encouraged me by saying that making the worst grade, while answering exam seriously, is as difficult as making the top grade. Now I am sort of proud of my achievement.
