I think this paperweight is really cool. I wonder how it was produced. There are several metal balls floating inside the clear box. The box is completely seamless. If you come up with any idea, let me know.

i know exactly how it was done and could make one for you quite easily....any desired shape?
one would begin by gathering an initial collection of hot glass on a pipe...with tweezers or jacks the individual simply pokes holes (indentations) in the mass of molten glass. then a second gather is taken over the initial and the holes one pokes allow air to be trapped...voila...one has air bubbles...the block shape (as denoted in the picture) is a trivial next step.
oh...i spaced out...didn't realize they were metal balls, i thought they were air bubbles...in the case of metal balls it is probable that a square mold was used and a hot glass - metal ball(s) - hot glass - metal ball(s) - hot glass technique employed
I think the paperweight is made of plastic. It's too light for a glass product. Anyway, it might have been made in the same way you described, but with molten plastic.

Could you make for me a glass magic mushroom with air bubbles inside?

would you settle for a whale tail?

I'd settle for a glass golf ball. I'd like to gift it to Michell Wie.
