My father and I went on a trek in a mountain north of my city. Our destination was a gorge stretching to the mountain ridge. The last time we visited there was more than fifteen years ago.
Snow stayed on the bottom of the gorge. I touched snow for the first time this year. We enjoyed a splendid vista. I should post pics of our trek's highlights. But I forgot to bring a camera with me. So, would you settle for my drawing?
Hi iukeniki haukapila! How have you been doing? I called to your aunt last night. She sounded well.
>was the lake oligotrophic?
No. I learned that it's a mesotrophic lake when I was an elementary school pupil. But it might be close to an eutrophied level since green algae (water-bloom) grow abnormally during summer. Obviously, this is due to too much nutrients in the lake. There are some municipal regulations to prevent the lake from turing into eutrophied.
On a welcome note. The water quality is getting better, looking at the BOD of the lake, which is one of the water-quality standards.
