Concerning your reference to Mr. Links, perhaps the news has not reached Japan yet but Mr. Links has disgraced himself and is no longer a highly regarded insect expert. It seems he was attempting to grow mold in a plastic container in his desk, but had not obtained the required permits in advance. As a result, he was fired from his position, and has been able to find employment only as an itinerant minstrel.
